Newtown, Conn. Biblical Thoughts

I once heard that the world is a ever changing place, things happen in front of us, while others happen while we are not looking.

Today the  Newtown, Conn. was effected by one of those changes. With so many children dead, the thing I have seen the most on facebook, twitter, and google+ is what drives someone to do this? There is one simple answer outside of the psychological issues that may have been present, and that is sin. Sin is the evil of this world and destroys everything it can get a firm hold on. Today we seen the direct result of sin in Newtown, Conn.

I now would like to issue my condolences and prayers for the people who lost love ones today and these families as we head into the holidays. I pray that these people will not reach out in anger or let this tragedy destroy their families, but instead will reach to the cross of our savior. That they will see the love, comfort, and truth that is there. And in the end will come to know him. I would like to end with my favorite verse especially for tough times in life.

22 Cast your burden on the Lord,
    and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
    the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22
