Looking to a new year

With the new year approaching many people sit down to make resolutions for the new year. Lose weight, be more generous, be nicer, donate time or money to charities more often. The truth is though we never get any of this stuff done. We join a gym to leave after three months. We decide we need the new gadget over helping over people and so on. This year instead of making promises to yourself that you most likely won’t keep, why not make a promise to God and ask for His help with this promise. Maybe you want to read through the Bible this year, or be better with reaching out to friends, family, and coworkers with the gospel, simply you want to have a better prayer life, or maybe actually show up to church more than twice a year. All these things can be accomplished though Christ who strenghtens us. So instead of working on physical and material things, why not make resolution of Godly things this year. This will most likely be my last blog of 2012. So a happy new year to you.
