Living our life like God is sovereign

For Valentines day this year, my girlfriend got both us bracelets (photo below) on the bracelet it states, He > I. The date is the day we started our relationship. See More Here . Its amazing how we forget that God is greater than ourselves and our situations. That we think the God  who created the universe in seven days can’t handle the problems we have. That the God who split the Red Sea for the nation of Israel to pass through, doesn’t care were our lives go. That the God who sacrificed himself on a cross for our sins just doesn’t care at all.

I’m here to tell you different. God does care. He says it all the way through the Bible. He cares about us, he wants our lives to glorify Him. Lets look at Jeremiah.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV

God is clearly saying I know the plans I have for you. That his plans are for good. He took the time to say this to us in His Word. He Cares. He is greater than all our situations. He knows the plans he has for us. So we can have a future and we can hope in the fact that God knows whats going on. And because of this we will glorify God. He will hear our prayers. Does it say we will always get the answers we want. No. Because if God said yes all the time we wouldn’t grow to trust Him. We must trust God with our lives, present and future. Not stress out but to turn to a wonderful and powerful God who cares about situations. That has provided us with a guide through the storm and a great hope to cling to during the storm. That hope is Jesus. The God Man who died on the Cross for our sins and rose from the grave, declaring victory over death. He now sits at the right hand of the father. He cares and He is always greater than this fallen world.
