When time stopped

Back in the old testament God literally stopped time for Israel to win a battle. Lets take a quick peek at those verses.

12 At that time Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord gave the Amorites over to the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel,

“Sun, stand still at Gibeon,
and moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.”
13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
until the nation took vengeance on their enemies.

Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day. 14 There has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord heeded the voice of a man, for the Lord fought for Israel.
Joshua 10:12-14 ESV

Think about the concept of this, the idea that God stopped the earth’s rotation. Now should this blow our mind. By No Means!!!! We are talking about the God who created the entire universe and everything on this planet in 6 days. For some reason the fact that God personally intervened in this point of time so that Israel would win the battle. This tells me one thing. God cares!!! It tells me when I go to him in prayer he listens, he is willing to fulfill his will through and for me. This idea excites that if God wants to that he can stop time for me to work in his will if he see fits. Just some food for thought.

Amen!!! The God who stopped the world is the same God who listens to us when we come to Him.
