Were do you place your trust?

God provides lots of things for us. A lot of the stuff we don’t even give Him credit for. Such as the air we breath or the water we drink.  In Jeremiah, Israel had turned from trusting God with their hearts to trusting the things that God had provided such as the strong military and wealth they had. Which leads God to say this.

5 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, £ whose heart turns away from the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:5 ESV

In our sinful nature we turn away from the provider of things and to the provision as our source of trust. God uses people to give us the stuff he wants us to have. But instead of thanking God we thank the provision. Strange how our hearts so eagerly turn to man and instead of God. Where do you turn when life gets hard. Do you turn to God or a provision God has used in the past? When things are good do you take the provisions for granted or do you thank the one who provided them? If you want feel free to drop some things in the comments. I also welcome prayer requests. Thanks for reading.
