Sermon Notes 9/17/2017

God is not for our Glory but he created us for His.
Is there a time and place to get alone with God.
Matthew 6:5-13

Godly prayer begins with Recognizing God’s holiness
Prayer does not begin with us and is not centered on us
He is our God, not my God.
Ephesians 1:5
God came on Mission to redeem His people.
Matthew 7:11
God is the perfect Father.
As good as our Dads were, God is even Better.
We think we are too busy for God, who do we think we are.
Prayer is not just focused on us, but the entire church.
God First, then other members of the family and future members of the family.
Acknowledge God’s Holiness
When you see the Holiness of God, it changes the way you approach him.
Samuel 2:2
Isaiah 6:5
God must punish sin, but he is mercy, because he provided away through Christ.
We are all works in progress even the midst of our sin.
Proverbs 9:10
Prayer is an act of Worship
How will you approach this holy God?
Praise Him
Thank Him
we Live for Him.
