The mission field

The Mission field is something that we think in some third world country where Christians are persecuted or even worse killed. That is part of the mission field, but it is not the entire mission field. The mission field include our very homes, neighbors, churches, schools, and work places. They include every inch of ground that God made. We are in the mission field. As Christians we are called by God to proclaim the Gospel, to make it known to all the world, that includes right here at home. Where a staggering and growing amount of people are lost. They have not heard the Gospel. They need the Gospel just as much as someone in china, Africa, or the Middle East. This as my wife would say if a life or death situation that we need to take seriously.

So where do we start? We start simply where all great things start. On our knees!!! We wonder why we don’t see God moving in America like we use, its not because He left, its because we don’t talk to Him anymore, unless its to ask for healing or money. When was the last time you prayed from someone you knew as lost? When was the last time you cried out to God over the very fact that your neighbor didn’t know Christ. We have forgotten what it means to live on mission daily. We want revival, it starts on our knees and it then we go out to our mission field and we invite people to church, we share the Gospel, we build relationships. We step away from our virtual reality and into the dying world. Because we carry the answer to death, we know the very one whom defeated death. Its time to share that answer to the lost in our mission fields. Revivals don’t start in big building or coliseums, they start in our backyards, neighborhoods, and families. They start with us saying HERE I AM LORD, SEND ME!!!

I hope you enjoyed reading please get serious about your mission field, and if you want share a story about a Gospel conversation you may have had.
